Control Department - Scheduler for Operational Staff

The Control Department has a broad mission to ensure that only approved goods pass through Sweden's borders. The mission involves conducting customs controls on imports and exports where the Swedish Customs Authority looks for goods that violate restrictions and also to ensure that the correct customs duties and taxes are levied. The mission of the Control Department is to stop or seriously disrupt organized crime and ensure competitive neutrality.

About the position

In the Planning Operational Staff group, tasks include continuously planning for scheduled staff in the control groups, planning and evaluating the efforts of control groups both locally and nationally, coordinating training sessions for employees in the control operations and, if necessary, for employees in other units in the area. The work requires well-functioning collaboration and dialogue with other units within the Swedish Customs Authority and external authorities. The position will be responsible as a scheduler for operational staff, which means creating short-term lists, temporary lists based on needs, and registering other changes in working hours and salary supplements in system support.

The scheduler is responsible, together with the Manager, for ensuring that the reported schedules comply with applicable laws, collective agreements, and guidelines. They also ensure that schedules are reasonable and comply with working time regulations for rest, recovery, and occupational safety regulations. Schedulers also collaborate with Managers to ensure that schedules meet the needs of the operations based on reported needs analyses.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed high school education with passing grades in Swedish, English, and mathematics.
  • Experience in planning work, scheduling, and working time regulations.
  • Swedish and English in spoken and written form.
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite/Excel.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working in the personnel and payroll system Heroma.
  • Completed and approved basic training within the Swedish Customs Authority.
  • Work experience within the Swedish Customs Authority's crime-fighting operations.

Personal qualities

You should have the ability to keep multiple tasks going at the same time as the workload can be high at times. Furthermore, you are flexible and eager to develop to adapt yourself to the operations and new requirements. As a person, you are structured and have the ability to prioritize your work.
